Mt. Zion has a prominent and storied music program, thanks to a long affiliation with Lenoir-Rhyne University and a beautifully expressive pipe organ.

The choir also performs anthems and special arrangements of favorite hymns on a regular basis. Members range from vocalists in the Hickory Choral Society to folks who simply delight in making a joyful noise.

Rehearsals for the Liturgical Choir take place on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm.

children's choir

The Children's Choir is comprised of an eager group of youngsters who find it impossible to contain their joy of singing. They come together for music lessons and friendship and take special delight in performing for the congregation as often as they can. Members of the Children's Choir notably participate in an annual Christmas program and other musical offerings.

The Children's Choir rehearses from 6:30pm-7pm on Wednesday evenings.

handbells

Mt. Zion's handbell choir, The Jubilate Ringers, adds a lovely touch to worship services during festival seasons. The dedicated members work diligently to master hymns, carols, and other specially arranged songs as a beautiful tribute to occasions like Easter and All Saints Sunday.

The handbell choir gathers at 6:30pm on Wednesday evenings to rehearse.
