Annual Events
Homecoming
Every October, Mt. Zion celebrates Homecoming Sunday. It is a time to celebrate and honor the past, give thanks for the present, and look to the future.
Former members, pastors, and staff are invited to attend, as well as friends from the community. After worship we have a lunch and time of fellowship.
Awesome Autumn Adventure
AAA is our annual fall festival. It includes Trunk-or-Treat, games, crafts, food, face painting, and more.We enjoy welcoming the local community to celebrate the season with us and learn more about the ministry opportunities at Mt. Zion.
Children’s Advent Worship & Cookie Fellowship
In December, our children and youth lead an Advent worship service on Sunday morning. They serve as lectors, ushers, and communion assistants. In addition to that, they lead the prayers and share the Christmas story in creative ways. Following worship, the congregation, friends, and family gather in the Fellowship Hall for a cookie reception.Children’s Easter Party
Held every spring the weekend before Easter, the children's Easter party is a time of fun, fellowship, and learning.Children and families enjoy a retelling of the Easter story, games, activities, crafts, and an egg hunt. It is a joy to welcome many members of the community for this event.
Congregational Cookout
Mt. Zion members love to gather outside each year for a cookout and fellowship time. We set-up tents, grill hot dogs and hamburgers, play yard games, and simply enjoy being together. This intergenerational event is one that members look forward to each year. Vacation Bible School
